My head is staging a rebellion, I believe.

Maybe it’s Milwaukee, maybe it’s my house. While I was in Chicago I had little to no headaches. I come back from Chicago, and wham-o they hit my head like a brick. I’ve had one already that caused me to dive under the comforter in my bed and sleep it off. My partner even thinks that they are severe. They don’t last more than an hour, usually less if I take an Ibuprofen or Excedrin. I miss Topamax; but my system hasn’t balanced itself out even after almost a month of being off of it.

The new job isn’t too stressful although it involves programming in an environment I’ve never done before. Nobody here is a true 100% backup for me since I’m the only developer and there are four analysts. I guess that’s the public sector for you.

I’m going to go join the circus. Wanna come?

I feel for you. I am sorry that you felt the need to go off Topomax at the same time you were changing jobs and moving, probably not good timing. Migraines tend to hit us when we are most stressed and you have 4 stressors – the move, the job, deleting Topomax, and changing climates. The last can be a real killer. I moved from Northern Virginia, to West Virginia(1/2 mile high) My sinuses improved for a while, but the migraines hit me like a sledge hammer. Every time a storm comes in from Canada, down thru Pittsburgh, into Preston Country and Garrett County Maryland, I am in trouble by the time it hits the US border and it doesn’t let up until it hits the Atlantic. Have you tried Accupuncture? That really helped me, unforturnately insurance does not cover it, but find someone who is board certified, and does not require you to have chiropractic too, just accupuncture. I have migraines for 40 years, accupuncture took care of the ones I was born with, the ones I have now are the result of a car accident..now I get radio wave treatments at a pain clinic and that lasts about 7-9 weeks before I have to have another treatment. It’s beginnning to wear off, so it’s time for another treatment…. I hope you find help… There is absolutely nothing worse than a migraine not even LABOR PAINS AND I HAVE BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT!
