A quick post to let you know I’m alive! I’m finishing up school this coming week so I will be scarce. I found something that may be helpful for my headaches. Jolt gum is has the component that seems to work the best, caffeine. I haven’t been drinking coffee very much lately and the Excedrin seems to work the best. I’m doing a little experiment – if I can get away with chewing caffeine gum to get rid of the headache, it’s better for my system instead of killing my liver with pain relievers.

I also have been sleeping much better after taking three melatonin pills for the past two nights. My neurologist suggested I try that again with the Verapamil. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. So far, this solution will be the least amount of money from my pocket.

I’m not replying to the above, but wanted to ask you a medication question (and I couldn’t find your “contact me” link).
I haven’t read all your posts but know you’ve tried a variety of meds, from what I’ve read. Have you ever tried gabapentin (Neurontin)? Just wondering. I take amitrip. for chronic TTH but my neuro suggested we might try this gabapentin next. I’ve just never heard anyone mention it, so thought I’d snoop around.

Melatonin worked great for me… for a while. But then it stopped working. My advice would be to be careful how long you’re taking it for. It doesn’t work well long-term.
